I currently own an Hp g7-2220us with a6-4400m with Radeon 7520 GPU integrated, I'm wondering it is a smart idea to upgrade to a10-5750m to get the better integrated graphics card. I use laptop for gaming and video editing. Thanks!

Defiantly, yes. See this comparison;

The power consumption is the same so that makes it easy in one point of view. (don't need a more powerful battery)
Only concern for me is heat (laptops have poor ventilation), which can be solved with a notebook cooling pad.
The motherboard has to support that CPU, but no doubt it will. To be sure, what is your current motherboard in your laptop?

Awesome I have the regular hp g7-2220us motherboard. I do have cooling fan. My only concern was the loss off CPU Ghz (2.7 to 2.3). But I assume the quad core will help?
