I have a 500gb Portable HDD, seagate, which all of the sudden stopped working.
when i plug it, the green led will indicate and the icon to "safely remove a hard drive" will appear.
In the "My Computer" it is not showing.
In "Device Manager" it is appearing as seagate portable hard drive"
in the Disk Management, it apears as "Disk 1 Not initialized" and "Unallocated"
I cannot rename it or partition it, while extensive data is on the drive.
Please need your urgent help
