Problems with booting SSD after copying partition

As the title suggests I can't get my SSD to boot after copying the c: partition from a HDD. Looking through the forum was no use, most simply just did a clean install in the end. I copied the partition following these exact instructions, using EaseUs Partition master: http://www.howtogeek.com/97242/how-to-migrate-windows-7-to-a-solid-state-drive/

Whenever I try to boot from the SSD it says I need to choose a proper boot device. I have tried using a Windows repair disc with no success, I have made sure the SSD is connected to the first SATA-port and I have AHCI on. I am trying to avoid doing a clean install for various reasons.

My specs are:
Dell DH67M01 Motherboard
8 GB RAM
Asus Geforce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC
Intel Core I7-2600 @ 3.40 GHz
Samsung SSD 840 Pro 256 GB
Seagate SSHD 2 TB

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Have you configure Bios to boot firstly from the SSD? Can you boot to Windows on your PC? If so its probably still booting to the HDD. Did you format the SSD first?

It is configured to only boot from the SSD, I have tried with and without having the HDD connected (it only boots the hdd when it is connected), and I have tried switching them around. It was not formated before copying the partition.

This is solved, the problem was I didn't copy the boot partition from the HDD but only the c: partition. After redoing the whole process by copying both partitions, I simply had to run the windows repair-disc.
