I have a machine I use for trading stocks and currently I have XFX R7950 (little over kill I would think) currently running 4 monitors. I would like to upgrade to where I could run 6-8 monitors and would be good running older cards don't need the latest greatest. I run currently most the monitors at 1080p and I believe the card will support higher resul...... My mother board has 2 pci video slots so dual card are okay. Thanks for any help.

Well unfortunately you will need to buy splitters to setup Eyefinity (on six monitors), and MST hubs are quite expensive. Eyefinity is built into CCC.

You could also use active DP to HDMI or DP to DVI, but they will likely run you just as much.

I just read something in doing some searching about that the 7950 can run 6 monitors which would be great , something about daisy chaining some of the ports? If you know how I could get this single card to output to 6 monitors could you point me in the right direction? Thanks

The 7950 can use Eyefinity to support up to six monitors. Your monitors will need to support DisplayPort, or you will need to purchase active DisplayPort convertors. You can usually use four cables with the actual card, and then linking your other two monitors with a daisy chain.

You can find out more information about Eyefinity here: http://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/eyefinity

Sorry a bit new on this stuff, I currently using 1 hdmi , 1 DVI, and both display ports with active dogles to VGA and all is working okay. Im unsure where or how I would put 2 more dogles into the system not unless there is some Y splitter for display ports. I took a look at the site and not sure if I would need to download software for the EyEfinity or if it is built into the catalyst Im running which is version 13.1 and the Driver Packaging Version 9.012-121219a-151592C-ATI. sorry for all the question and thanks again for the help.

Thanks for all the help I have to consider everything, by chance if I was to buy the splitter will it still require me to buy more dogles or is there just some sort of display port to vga cable? Thanks again
