dear everybody,
good evening, I purchased a lenovo 3000H desktop during 2007 for my Ph.D work and I am using the same system till now. Recently, i have changed the monitor from cfl to SAMSUNG LED S20B300B 50 cm. the problem is that I am not getting a clarity in the LED screen because the maximum resolution is 1024X768. I want to increase the resolution into HD or some good resolution. for that, what i have to do? Is there any possibility to improve the resolution in intel dual DDR 400 mother board.
I request you to help me in this regard to the following mail id: kubendran1979@gmail.com
Thank you

The maximum resolution of that monitor is 1600x900. I doubt that that machine will support it, but you can try going to the support site and downloading the latest drivers, then see if that resolution is available. Failing that, you would have to buy and install a graphics card. Decent ones can be had for $50 or less if you are not doing gaming.

I just looked up the specs for that machine. The gma950 chipset, which I think it has, should support resolutions up to "2048x1536 at 75 Hz maximum resolution." So update the drivers, bring up the screen properties, see if the resolution you want is available. If it is, select it. If not, let us know what resolutions are available. Good luck.
