Thanks for you help!
I just got done building a media PC.
Fx4300
Ga-78lmt-usb3
8gb of ram
500gb sata seagate
250gb sata hitachi (laptop)
80gb IDE seagate
80gb IDE seagate (spare)
Used upgrade cd for windows 7 professional

Got the system up and running no issues, without the 80gb spare installed. I needed to get some data from the 80gb spare, so I shut down the system and removed connectors for the installed 80gb and put them on the spare 80gb then attempted to boot. System tried to boot from the 80gb seagate spare hdd. So I went into the bios to ensure that the bios was attempting to boot from the 500gb that I had my current OS running on, and it was. So I put it back to the last known good configuration. And this time it attempted to boot to the laptop hdd. Frustated and confused I removed all hdds except the 500gb seagate that I had just installed windows on. And it fails to attempt to boot. It only says insert cd. No windows load screen, no nothing.
Short of reinstalling windows, does anyone have an idea?
Thanks!

Solution
Hi,

Please try to recheck your cable connections if its properly plugged and then try to set the boot priority in BIOS settings to the preferred boot/system drive u want.
