Hey guys isit worth me getting a GTX 760 soon and will it be able to perform at highish setting for the next 1-2 years? Or is it a better choice to wait for another card that will compete with the gtx 760 from either Nvidia or AMD, if yes do we have an idea how soon they'l be coming?

More about : worth gtx 760 hold year

A GTX 760 is good for now. The next-generation GTX 860 is not due out until next year, though. Perhaps you could look at a GTX 770?

6 Months Ago, I would have said yes.

Right Now, I would get a 770 and expect it to last around a year or so. Also depends on your personal preferences.

What Resolutions do you plan to play at?
Must you ALWAYS have 30/60+FPS?
Does it always have to be Ultra settings or are you willing to tone it down a bit?

We also don't know how much longer it will be before Nvidia releases information on the 800 Series. Or at least, I dont know XD

No way to answer about worth without knowing what you want to do with it (and what you are upgrading from).

Absolutely not worth it if you have a 750ti already. Worth it if you don't have a GPU (and want to game).

Absolutely not worth it if you want triple monitor 1440p gaming. Worth it if you want single 1080P at very high/ultra settings now and are ok with 1080P/high settings on new games in couple years.

Ok so i guess its better if i save up for 770. And menetlaus as a matter of fact I do have a 750 ti but looking at reviews many have said it is considerably better than 750ti so thats why I considered upgrading. Ok so a gtx 770 will hold good for another year and a half right? and yh i dont mind not playing Ultra and im okay with >40 fps.
