Cannot download or watch anything!?!

Hello Community,

It all started yesterday, it was perfectly fine i could stream shows and movies and download anything off the internet but then suddenly i couldn't download anything off any sites or watch any more shows. I can watch videos on youtube but no where else (Novamov for example) whenever i try it just says loading and just turns. also when I try to download anything nothing comes up ive checked my chrome downloads and my download folder but still nothing. To be honest the whole computer has slowed down a bit also, but my games still play fine, offline and online.

PLEASE HELP!!

may help unpluging your modem from the wall for couple minutes and restart your computer at the same time.

You probably already tried this but have you rebooted your PC and router?

If your PC has become generally slower it would be a good idea to do a full scale virus scan.

I've tried the router and restarting but still no luck, ill try the virus scan now.

Virus scan came back negative theres no harmful software.. anything else guys!?

Well i couldn't download a new one because of my issue so i used windows defender, i know its shit but no other option

I would download Anti-MalwareBytes is you don't have. It's more likely a malware attack then a virus attack. If you have CCleaner I would run that and it will clean your temp file and sometime malware lives there. Also look in control panel under programs and order it by date and see it there is something installed recently that you didn't install.

I some how managed to download Malwarebytes but as soon as i go to install and click my language it comes up with "The source file is corrupt" which is a real bitch so I've had a look and it means i may have a malware preventing me from installing it but how do i get past that?

Ok i got malwarebytes i did one quick scan and i found threats, i then restarted and now doing one more quick scan hopefully this works..
