Hello, I accidentally formatted EFI system partition while installing linux.
I have to RMA the laptop and they told me, that there has to be Windows 8.1 on the laptop.
I still have windows 8.1 there, but I cant boot to it, because there is no EFI system partition. What can I do? BTW I must have the same version of WIn 8.1 and it has to be the same as I did open the laptop for thee first time (First time settings like language, making acounts etc).
Can somebodz help me please?
Btw I am sorry, but english isnt my mother tongue so excuse me for my bad english.

If you could get your hands on a windows 8 install CD or USB, you could try a system repair.
Most laptops come with the OEM sticker on the back side. You could try installing an OEM version of Windows 8 and re activating.

I've done something similar in the past- you can restore the bootloader using Grub from a linux live CD. I would personally recommend you download and burn a Ubuntu live cd as it includes a decent toolset and is one of the best supported distros (even if the unity UI is a bit ugly).

There's a link on the Ubuntu forum with more details:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair

This should hopefully bring your current windows installation back to life!

My god...
I downloaded Win 8.1 from my students account to fix EFI problem. I fixed efi problem and then I ran reset my PC through that installation disk...
After reboot the same Win 8.1, which I downloaded started...What to do ?
I need to return my laptop, but they told me, that they wont take it until I will restore defaults with first time install...
But my recovery partition was replaced by recovery partition with the new OS .
There is no product key on the back side...
New Windows are Pro version and they are in english language, but I need czech language. Whats more, it doesnt have the bloat ware, which oem version had and I cant install bloatware, because I have to have it in first time setup... What can I do ? :(

The only thing I can think to do in this situation- you need to contact the manufacturer of your laptop and tell them you had a HDD failure. Hopefully they can provide you with an original image to put the machine back to factory specification.
