I built a new computer (specs below). When i turn on my PC i get PC fan failure, it tells me to press F1 to solve problem. When i do that, it takes me to my BIOS and i see that CPU is 28C and cpu fan is running at 855RPM.

My computer does not turn off which tells me that at the very least the CPU knows its getting some sort of cooling, if not it would turn off right?

I have a corsair H80i installed for cooling the CPU. This problem only happens when i turn off the PC for a long time, usually over night, and after a bios reset it usually works fine until the next day.

P.S. I also have an issue with my mobo not recognizing my HHD/ OS in boot priority when i turn on my pc and i am forced to reset Bios until it does. could this be related? do i have a bad Mobo or could an update to my mobo fix this?

Thanks in advance :)

IDK about the H80i but when this happened to me I got that American metagrands screen and got the fan error...I just booted up anyway and restarted and truned the FAn speeds down..mind you this is with the intel Stock cooler. But it seemed to work. I had it pretty high and now it is like 300 to 600rpm

I get the same American metagrands screen. Black and red screen with emblem on top left right? Does it happen to you every time you turn it on after long idle/off times?

No it only happened once so far...But to answer your question it did happen after at least 8 hours of being off.

Also are all the fan headers plugged in the right ports...SOme are 3 pin some are 4pin..Also a good tool to use is Asus AI Suite or Asus Fan EXpert just to monitor things. Other than that I would have to look it up. I have not used an AMD in a bit now and when I did I did not have an Asus MB

yup, the h80i comes with two fans 2x4pin connectors and a 3 pin connector for the water/radiator. i have all three plugged into my mobo
