the other day i did my first oc and i got it to where i wanted and ran prime 95 small fft test for 12 hours and the blend for 8 and no failures or errors so i thought everything was fine. so i played a game today for first time since oc and i got a blue screen 30 mins in. is that because its unstable?

Solution
for now just add a tiny bit of vcore and go back to your game. if you made it through 12 hours of prime and a game caused a cpu related bsod, then it was vcore dropping under load.
unstable. its likely because the gpu being stressed is adding to the overall electrical stability of the power supply and then through the motherboard. add a little more vcore.

what was the blue screen code?

i go intel burn test set to maximum, one pass. then prime95 small fft 12 hours. then furmark gpu stress combined with prime95 small fft combined with intel burn test set to maximum for one pass, usually takes about an hour as a final test.

i oc the cpu from 3.5 to 4.0 went into bios and did it manual and i got temps from 49-52 and my gpu came factory oc at 1150MHz but i bumped it up to 1200 im very new to overclocking so could be a tiny thing.
