I want to know if buying a more expensive monitor with a 5000:1 contrast ratio is worth it and descriptions of the difference would be very helpful. I mentioned that whether it is worth paying more for a higher native contrast so please just base your answer on that specifically please as I am fully aware of other factors that I should think about when buying a monitor. If there are other things I should think about that is related to the native contrast then feel free to mention it. Thanks for taking your time to read and to reply to this.

Yes, 5000:1 vs 1000:1 is a noticeable difference.

Pixel pitch is the distance between sub-pixels of the same color.
Closer spacing between sub-pixels generally produces a sharper image.

In display technology, contrast is one of the most important image quality metrics because it allows us to distinguish the content of an image, regardless of the brightness of that image.

If you take the brightest white on a screen, and the darkest black and compare the luminosity, you get the contrast ratio. For example, a 10000:1 contrast ratio means that the brightest white is 10000x brighter than the darkest black.

So yes, having a higher contrast ratio is generally worth it.

Hi. Thanks for your answer. Would you say the image quality difference between a 5000:1 and 1000:1 is really big? Also another thing I would like to know is about Pixel Pitch and what would be considered a good pixel pitch. You don't have to answer the second question but it would be great if you could answer it. Thanks
