Upgrading from 660GTX to 770 ?

Hello community.

I'm thinking to upgrade my currently 660 GTX to 770, i have seen some benchmarks and 770GTX is about 50% better than 660GTX also i was looking at r9 280x 3GB, though it will be future proof considering that new games will need more vram to buffer larger textures,shaders etc.. I'm really confused Maxwell GPUs is what i was waiting for but there too many leaks online NV releasing them next year (fake or not ? who knows...)
So what's your suggestion should i keep my currently 660 and wait for Maxwell or upgrade ?
BTW my resolution is 1080p.

Well Maxwell is definitely not fake as the GTX 750 and 750Ti both utilize it. As for the release, they're surely being released next year, if not sooner.

If you think you need the upgrade right away, then get it now or wait and either get one of the the current cards cheaper when the Maxwell equivalents are released or get one of the the Maxwell ones.
