People im struggling.
I upgraded from a gtx 295 to the GTX 780.

My question is WILL THE GTX 780 WORK ON WINDOWS 7 PLAIN, not HAVING INSTALLED SERVICE PACK 1. I went to settings and see in windows edition there is no service pack installed.

I cannot at all install the Nvidia drivers for the GTX 780. My GTX 295 was working just fine with driver 335.24. Now i can try to install it but wont get anywhere with the GTX 780 installed.
Should i download SP1. I would cost me a lot. Before i do i need some advice from some gurus
All fails. Help please

If you've got a legal (with key code) copy of Windows, you should be able to download the Service Pack.

I don't know anyone else who doesn't have SP1. But I think you should be able to download and install a driver straight from the nVidia website. Do you get any error messages?

Im really very thankfull to all. Had a ery busy weekend, so sorry fir not replying sooner.
I cannot upgrade my windows completely. I can only do it bit by bit. I download the updates, shutdown to install then come back to install some more...anyway I finally got Microsoft .Net 4 on my system... Geforce experience, shadow play and all...mmmm very nice.
However now im at one point, my windows sercer pack cannot upgrade butni can promise you that once I check for updates I will get some andni will be able to update bit by bit again, perhaps one day I wiould be able to install the Windows update itself..I guess all the security updates are welcomed as well.
Does anyone know of this type of procedure?
My cpu runs hot now with the gpu... at 70 degrees..plus. now im finally working it a bit. Still I must disable turbo mode otherwise the temps are to high. Stock cooler.
I will be getting the CM 120M today, self maintained no need to service. Anyone agree with this decision.
