I have an Hp pavillion DV6 im in the process of refurbishing it and giving it away, i have a problem though my hard drive has a clicking noise its faint but multiple clicks all the time now i know ive had this noise since i bought the laptop 2/3 years ago it runs fine with a little lag and im unable to play films from the hdd itself theres a extreme lag every 10/20 seconds of the film but from a dvd or a external hdd the same film works perfectly, ive been researching online and many people say backup and chuck the hdd but im positive its not the click of death because its been working fine for three years and i haven't had a single crash on my laptop, my question is is there a fix for my particular problem or not ive run diagnostics on the drive and they all come out positve i have also seen some people have found running notebook hardware center have found a solution but i cant find a version that runs on Windows7 64bit,, i have a new hdd for it but i would like to at least try and fix the current one, oh the hdd is a 2.5'' Sata Toshiba 650Gb.
