that was an option though it kinda breaks what the buyer wanted to spend(under 120$). there where a bunch of logysis/sunbeam cases but they seem to have sold out everywhere that i can find.

It also says it is compatible with only MATX boards and he has a ATX board and dual video cards.

I'm fairly positive there's no such thing as a crossfire MATX AM#+ board and I'm not having any luck with a case that fits the specs. anyone else have any ideas this is really aggravating because I ordered the thing, only to be told it was out of stock after I had already agreed to build the system.

I can't find one anywhere and I've already taken the money and ordered all the other parts, AND THERE OUT OF STOCK EVERYWHERE!!!!

Oh, sorry about that.

I didn't know they were this rare now, but it seems you are right. Strange. Wonder what the reason is.

dunno, some sites say there on back order others seem to insinuate they aren't coming back.

Damn thing is since I started building them I have had 10-15 orders for them and have had to say that I couldn't or that They would have to wait. Kinda killing my business.

I mean when you want a budget system a 300$+ on a case is outta the option.

A week and a half ago I could pick them up everywhere for 49.99/59.99/69.99

Now nothing nowhere.

I can get them direct from china if I purchase 10+ at a time but 450$ in shipping is rough.

I am gonna have to look for someone who builds these cheapily in the state or give up this endeavor, which seems to be quite lucrative.

It seems to be a niche market and the trend for them seems to have died down. If they were still popular, the manufacturers would be shipping them to the retailers (like Newegg, Microcenter, Frys, etc).

Sorry for your troubles. They are quite hard to find now, what ever the reason.

It sucks because it was a Niche market that I was doing quite well in. I mean we sell a lot of regular computers but an extra 15-20 sales a week still helps.

I hear you. How many a month do you move? It might make the idea of getting them direct (as you mentioned earlier) more feasible if you consider that way.

You could also go directly Logisys' customer support to see if they can help you out.

If I come across anything else, I'll pass along. Good luck!

I appreciate that, and everyone's help greatly, this has been a somewhat daunting task I did find a firm that I believe is based in California, that seems to build the correct kind of thing but have to wait till tomorrow to find out cost.

Well we have only recently begun with it but in the past week and a half about 20. So 40ish a month(that could rise drastically as I begin promoting it through our websites, listings, etc but that is what I will assume for now.

The issue is:
A. We are a small business that orders are parts to order or a couple orders ahead to keep overhead down. (all units are built to order based on the customers needs not off of pick A, B, C. We work with our customers figure out what they are using it for suggest a possible build to fit there needs, upgrades that may help, and keep it in there budget. Yes I know there are easier ways to do this but We get a lot of satisfaction out of helping people, and knowing that we gave them a custom gaming system that fits their needs, budget, personal taste and that they love it. It is very rewarding to know that people are happy with you.)

B. We don't have a lot of room for inventory. (still a small company, in the middle of moving our offices to a larger spot but still won't have room for the kind of inventory I would need to store. Our orders per week now overflow our storage part of the reason we are relocating to a new office.)

C. Unless I can make much larger orders direct from china, the shipping cost makes it to high. (Unless I take the slow boat from china which means finding someone to source from for now to ordering a large amount 50+ finding a place to store them, finding a way to pay for them, etc.)

BTW, are you in Illinois? Near Chicago or elsewhere? I live near Chicago. There is a Frys, 2 Microcenters, and a TigerDirect (that I know of) up here. Did you check those sources?

I live in lower middle illinois so thats about 300miles away or I would have just driven there.

The DD case is a possible option, I was hoping for a tower, as this will be a large water-cooled system but that may work.

Yeah tigerdirect doesn't have any. and neither of the others will ship.

Fry's said they can't ship because they have none in the warehouse. Damn, figures maybe these guys at C3 (clearcomputercase.com) will have something affordable that fits the bill a bit better. cause driving all the way up there is not an option. (to bad I don't know anyone in Chicago buy it and ship it to me lol)

BTW, DD looks like they are going out of business. A call to them might secure some remaining stock. Worth a shot (especially if you can get for a reduced/bulk buy).

Shipping for that case would add quite a bit to the cost (as would driving there and back). You would be better off with the frozencpu linked item posted earlier.

Sending you a PM.

yeah shipping through fedex is about 19$-24$ (I ship computers all over the world so I'm pretty up to date on pricing.)

Thanks for bringing that up COLGeek.... This brings up a very good concept that I think angelice should try (except I recommend contacting corporate). Try really hard to get in touch with someone at Logisys.... If you have to: ask for the corporate phone numbers (so you bypass the customer support section that probably can't help you). Considering you want to keep buying a few of these cases every now and then, see if you can figure out a reliable way to keep getting them by talking to corporate.

If you can't get in touch with them, see if you can find any other brand and try the same technique.

I saw that site too in my searches. :)
However, do NOT buy from them! Why do you ask? :)  Well, after I found out about them, I though maybe I should do a quick check at resellerratings before I post about them. Lo and behold, they have an absolutely aweful rating:
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/PC_Planet_Systems

It's a shame though, because they actually look like they have the product (or maybe it's not a shame since the place is so aweful and maybe they don't even really ship them :)  ).

P.S. COLGeek: I should note that I didn't mean this in a mean spirited way; I bolded the message just to make sure angelice doesn't miss the note. :)

So I've spent about 4 hours going through all the same nonsense you did, trying to find a case similar to the logisys cs888cl or the sunbeam ac9b....no luck at all....no stock anywhere. I was actually going to make a post asking the community but wanted to search around and see if it was resolved somewhere else first. Any luck finding a comparable replacement?

Sorry for bumping a 3 month old thread mods, figured it was better than creating a new one >.<

We hadn't had much luck except ordering directly from china. if you are interested in purchasing several I might be able to help you out when my next shipment comes in. otherwise all we found was

http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l2/g1/c9/list/p1/Cases-Cas...

http://www.dangerden.com/store/dd-water-box_plus.html 209$

http://www.dangerden.com/store/dd-water-box.html 115$ however they are out of stock alot.

Oh not to bad just trying to take care of business ... New orders, New questions, Trying to answer peoples questions (and Namedrop through my signature to increase my SEO lol Can't blame me for trying and hell I build systems cheaper than most people can put them together themselves PLUS I make sure they get the Best Price to Performance which ALOT of people fail at miserably.)

Otherwise just normal Day to Day grind.
got a fun task to figure out ...
how to make this
HIGHPOINT ROCKETRAID 2710
capable of using more SAS drives
Was looking at SAS expanders but not sure if that's a viable option still hunting.

May just try to find a Cheap Raid Controller that's capable of 6 or more SAS drives.

Lol ... So how are you.
