in addition to the question above how dependable is its home center software?
as it offers updates to everything if not all stuff that needs updated (vid cards,CPU drivers, mobo, audio etc)

and is it really a good idea to just leave it to the "OC genie" the overclocking thing?
I mean yes it does overclock it (from what I have read) but put high voltages for low overclocks (which from what I understand is NOT a good thing for the long run)

and what about the afterburn software (vid card overclocking)?
is it a good idea to leave it to that software to "automate" the overclocking process?

and to answer the burning question most likely is NO I'm not overclocking (for now) as I have a stock intel cooler on my processor

any explanation would be appreciated

My current machine specs
Intel i5 4670K
MSI Z87 MPOWER MAX
Corsair Vengeance (2x8) 1600Mhz
Corsair Carbide 300R
Corsair AX 760 PSU (yes this is the seasonic one so from what I know this qualifies as top class PSU)
MSI TwinFrozr Edition 7970
Samsung PRO 128GB
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 3TB Harddrive

All CPU overclocking should be done in the BIOS.

Your power supply is top shelf.

Afterburn is decent.

I've read of some that OC well, had a call on one that had two bad DRAM slots, the guy RMAed it, got one that worked, but couldn't get his 4670K or my 4770K over 4.3, yet mine runs easily at 4.6 on my Hero and the guys 4670K was good through 4.5 on my mobo....it all depends on your individual mobo, they have good ones, but there are far to many issues for me to build on them, their QC isn't all that good

what about the home center thing the one that updates the drivers even for the motherboard?
I'm also now planning to make a forum account on the overclockers 3D was it (seeing overclocking is on the name itself and will most likely hold a complete guide on how to OC my specific processor)

hopefully this OCs well in the future and I know about the "luck of the draw" thing on the CPU (hopefully mine passes through the 4.5 mark without problems :)  )

I don't care for that software , I always update my own drivers.

Good luck with the overclocking.
