Hi, I'm doing my first little gaming build and put together an ASRock 990fx killer fata1ity mobo, amd 8350 cpu and MSI r9 270 gaming ed. 2gb gpu. Things are running fine, I'm posting this question from the rig, monitor plugged in through the graphics card. Problem is that in windows 7 home device manager isn't picking up my card. Just lists standard vga graphics adapter. I don't have an optical drive atm (new one is on the way) so i had to put drivers for mobo on usb drive then get lan working and download drivers for card, which I did. Catalyst control ran and did its thing and still no gpu. Really can't figure it out, any suggestions?

I have done several restarts and the monitor is plugged into the graphics card. I have also tried re-inserting the graphics card and uninstalling ati software/ re-downloading drivers :(

Actually I think I got it. I got the drivers from AMD's website and it is detecting the card now. I was trying to download from MSI (manufacturer of the card...) and wasn't working but hey oh well.
