ok i'm ordereing the storm stryker case.. and i was wondering what size radiator i should be for the top and which model of the xspc?
i'm looking at these 3 kits
the 280 kit with D5 pump: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16551/ex-wat-217/XSPC...
the ex 240 kit with d5 pump: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16551/ex-wat-217/XSPC...
or the AX 240 kit d5 pump: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/20837/ex-wat-261/XSPC...
i'm not real sure if the ax 240 radiator is too thick to mount up top or not... i noticed it is better than the ex cuz its a little thicker... its 40mm thick and with a 25mm fan that makes it 65mm... i dont know if thats too thick for that case by the time it reaches the mobo or not.. the EX is 35.5mm thick which with a 25mm fan puts it at 60.5mm... i read that there is 60mm of space from top of case to top of mobo.. i dont know if thats exactly true or not... but at the same time im kinda interested in the 280mm radiator EX.. its 36mm thick... but more surface area... i really need to know this cases limitations for mounting at the top inside of case.. i've been googling for days and cant really find my answer so i'm coming here... if there are any better kits i should be looking at let me know...
looks wise if the AX 240 will fit i'm thinking about not getting the kit and buying separate... cuz i'm going to buy either red or orange uv hoses anyway... but this is radiator i really want to match the case
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21115/ex-rad-638/XSPC...
please help...
i am getting the asus z87 formula motherboard

Best solution
I looked but I couldn't find the rad specs for the storm stryker for some reason. But I can tell you the EX280 and AX240 should cool about the same (thicker rad vs more area) and the EX 240 would cool the worst out of the three. You didn't put what you were cooling but all three would be more than enough for a CPU.
XSPC makes some of the best kits for the money so you can't really go wrong with them. The D5 is a great pump. You do need to be aware that on that nylon reservoir they do bow some on the top but they don't leak it just looks weird
If I were you when you get the case put the mobo and RAM in and then measure exactly how much room you have on your particular setup. After that you can decide which one will fit or if you need to invest in some low profile fans to make everything fit right.

ok I got case and mobo today
here are my other parts... intel 4770k (to overclock), 16gb corsair vengeance 2666 memory, gtx 780...
now I need to make my mind up on this water cooling setup... which pump kit should I get? go to my link and they have the cheaper one $100 less but with a different pump..
and I need to know if I need to upgrade my 750w corsair power supply

Your PSU should be fine do you know which series it is though? The other pump from XSPC is their 750 pump it is cheaper. it isn't as good but is still sufficient for a just a CPU once you add a GPU and another rad it starts to not quite be enough. So if you are only doing the CPU it is just fine if you plan on adding more rads and your GPU I would get the D5.

yea its the 750TX corsair... http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-CMPSU-750TX-750-Watt-Cert...
and because I got a white case I want to kind of get a white power supply... here are the 2 im looking at
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... 850w psu or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... 1000w psu
I want to be able to run 2x 780 gtx and a water cooling loop that will cool cpu, gpu, motherboard mosfits... and some lights for the case... like some UV lights I'm buying for the UV tubes I'm buying... I don't know if my psu can or can't handle all that.... I also have 4 hard drives

For all that you will definitely need the D5 pump not the cheaper one. Your power supply should work just fine but a slightly larger one wouldn't hurt either. I believe superflower makes NZXT PSU so they should be pretty good.
