I'm rebuilding my old system for a friend for LAN Parties. I'm using most of the old parts from Intel d79951, a Q6600 processor. a 550w PSU and 8gb DDR2. (I realize it's not amazing, but it's better than the 4 year old laptop he's running)
I'm seeing if I can switch the old x1950 Pro for the more powerful HD 4870. I'm just wondering if the 4870 will work on this motherboard. I've tried it on a different DDR2 mobo (I forget the make), and it didn't want to work, so I'm not sure about this one.
