Since you don't have an unlocked processor in mind a gigabyte board would be a really good fit for you. They are well designed, and built to last. I personally use them in a lot of my customer builds for computers that will be in an office setting and won't be getting that much direct attention everyday. The number of office computers and workstations that I have built with that board is probably around 80-85 no one has ever called me with a hardware issue so they must be really good.

Are you suggesting other brands aren't? Its not 90' where brand actually meant quality... today those mobos are using the same parts from cheesiness factories, some models from each brand can be more or less successful and faulty. Brand means nothing today and thinking this category is for brainwashed people.
If you are worried something will break just pick the one with the longest warranty period, besides that there is no rule.

Besides the words above, yes this mobo is fine as probably many others more or less expensive.

Indeed truth sometimes can insult people who have linear way of thinking... like Darwin offended lot of hard God believers..
Obviously there is the bottom level of electronics which is almost always a compromise of price and quality... but at some price point the quality is decent enough its negligible... thus when someone say "company X makes it to last" i cant stand the laugh.
You want quality put some cash on workstation level of motherboards and don't waste the time on comprising company X vs Y since model 1 of X can be better than model 2 of Y and the other way around with different models.

In my vocabulary brainwashed means someone is under the influence of psychological tricks as a marketing for example, which leads to making illogical decisions basing on false or imprecise informations. I hardly find it offensive since its directed to probably 99% of the earth population including myself in some aspects. If you find it an issue why not cutting the text as the powers give you such opportunity instead of making this out of topic talk.
If someone would call me that I wouldn't mind... in fact I'd revise my thoughts to be more objective next time... its just like you pointed my response being inappropriate, which i felt wasn't.
