You can't directly. You have to reinstall windows using a 64bit disk. You can still use your 32bit key during the re-install so the cost should be zero to you.

Before doing so, make sure all your hardware supports a 64bit OS. everything should have a 64bit driver (printer, wireless card, video card, chipset, etc). It would also help to make sure all the programs you have are at least 32bit applications. 64bit windows does NOT support 16bit applications.

Windows 7 32bit wont run all 16bit application correctly either... even Windows XP had some real issues, since there is no msdos layer since windows millennium. Furthermore Win7 x64 has compatibility issues even with some 32 bit applications, thats why most of the known software was recreated for native 64bit support.
The only reason to use 32bit Win7 is a hardware without 64bit driver, besides that i cant see really a reason to use it as a home environment. For 16 bit apps u have dosbox, which works fairly well.
