After quite some time I finally finished my first build. Before I power up I have some questions:

1) my mobo does not appear to have anywhere to put the 19 pin USB 3.0 cable from the case, even though the mobo is labelled to have USB 3.0. Is there anything I can do to use the USB 3 ports? (Asrock 960gm/u3s3 mobo).

2) My GPU is the r9 270 and considering it is such a large card, it only has 2 screws to secure it to the side, is this enough to hold it?

3) my PSU is non modular and has many 'spare' leads, is it okay to bundle them together and put them in an unused HDD area?

4)my PSU came with a plug which appears to be European (I'm from UK), it fits into a shaver adaptor and the PSU says it has universal ac input. Will I cause any issues by powering up and using the PC with this?

I'm really greatful for any replies, and am scared to power up to test because of the last issue. Thanks.

if it's a 2 pin cable, no. It needs to have an earth. ps. I updated 1) above

1) page 11 of your manual says it should be plugs 18 and 19 labeled on the mobo image at the top of the page.

2) yes, my R9-290 is 30cm long and only has 2 screws!

3) yes, secure them so they don't move around

4) change the lead for any UK standard mains lead. The 2 pin lead is unearthed and is illegal in the UK. Make sure the PSU is 250v (sometimes an external switch, but as it's European, 250 is fairly standard).

I found one of those cables, it has a 5a fuse but doesn't fit into the back of the PSU, aalso the mobo layout in the manual says 18 is chassis fan connector and 19 is spi flash memory.

(Sorry if it isn't clear)

sorry, wrong version mobo, should be 20 and 21, both 9 pin headers (10 pin with one missing), but I just looked at mine case USB cable and it has the option for the two 10 pin headers or a molded 19 pin connector, which you must have. Do you have the two 10 pin headers on the same cable?

PSU cable - there are two types that look similar, but one has a notch in it, usually used for kettles, although that would be fused at 13A.

The other type doesn't have a notch, 5A fuse would be fine. Monitors use the same cable, otherwise not so common around the house, I have drawers full of them at work LOL!

There is just the single USB 3.0 cable with 19pins (20 with last one filled). From looking at the mobo I couldn't find anywhere that it might fit.

I'll have to buy one of those cables as I can't find a spare but thanks for letting me know that I'm not supposed to use the adaptor.
