USB Ports or MB problem?

Not sure what's causing this issue with my motherboard.

The USB ports have started to really become a nuisance and disconnect devices constantly (keyboard, mouse, controller, headphones)
If I attempt to plug these devices back into their original ports it's as if there isn't enough power. I have to wait a while or just plug it into another port.

It happens so often now that I end up having to restart because I run out of ports to power them.. Even front ports are doing it.

The strange part is, my USB wireless adapter, external HDD are not affected and are powered perfectly. I've never had any issue before it's the same setup as it has always been bar a new PSU and heat sink.

I was thinking about getting a PCI card with USB ports on just as a temporary fix.

Any ideas?

When a device gets disconnected, it doesn't prompt me or give any warning until I unplug/plug it back in then it'll give me the corresponding noises to let me know.

Other than that nothing at all

What do you mean under "powering"? All USB ports use the +5V bus from the PSU. If there's a problem with the +5V line, many other modules on the MB will having problems. I think even, the PC will stop work at all.
