Asus M5A97 R 2.0
PSU: CORSAIR CX SERIES CX750M ATX POWER SUPPLY - 750W
RAM:KINGSTON KHX16C9B1BK2/8 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1600MHZ HYPERX BLACK SERIES DUAL CHANNEL KIT
VGA: Asus R9270x
CPU:AMD FX-6350 3.9GHZ 6-CORE BOX
I put the vga in the x16 pci and the motherboard beeps "vga not detected", i put it on the x4 and it works fine, i also put an older vga on the pci x16 and that one works fine too. This is a new build so the r9270x never worked on that x16.
Things i have tried, latest bios update, clearing cmos, i have checked connections, power cables, anything.
Old vga (geforce 9600gt works on both pci)
New vga r9 270x (works only on the pci 2.0 x4 and it is not detected on the x16)
Somewhere i read about bios setting etc but i have not been able to find anything, though i am not much of an expert in bios settings.
please help me
