Hello I have a 6 year old PC that has a foxconn motherboard which has a built in temp. protection (it cuts off power when temperature hits like 50°C which i think is way too low to be dangerous) so my PC shuts down after about 10 minutes of playing a game, even tho i have a huge ROOM cooling fan blowing through the case and my ambient temparature is about 23°C. Is there a way i can disable the temp. protection or just increase the °C point of shutting off? Hope someone can answer and i would be very happy if the soulution was free or at least cheap.

Also someone just told me that it could be a PSU thing

intel dual core 2 duo E8400 3ghz
GPU nvidia geforce 8800gt
foxconn motherboard
xilence 550W PSU
4GB ram

Thank you in advance.

on the motherboard it just says foxconn motherboard P35AX-S
if ambient temperature is 25°C or more my pc will shut down even if i'm just watchin youtube videos so that's not it. the problem is i don't have another PSU to just try it out :S
