Hi Guys,

Let me put my question straight at you.

Which among the following component will majorly affect the CPU & GPU temps?

a) Motherboard,
b) PSU
c) Case

Now, let me explain the scenario.

Setup: AMD FX 8350 combined with ASUS R9 280X Graphics Card powered by Corsair 650W PSU

When the setup is run on Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

Temperatures:

CPU: 50 C
GPU: 65 C
MOBO: 43 C

Again, it setup is run on Asus M5A97 R2.0

Temperatures:

CPU: 65 C
GPU: 85 C
MOBO: 50 C

Can someone explain why the difference, is it expected or a defective MOBO ??

Thanks in Advance !!

You mean, LE is lower version and the non LE is higher version of M5A97 series ?

Le is lower, Non LE is higher.
If I am not mistaking, LE - Limited Edition - It lacks some features of the M5A97 R2.0
There's also the M5A97 EVO R2.0 Wich is the best of the series.

Limited Edition :ouch:

I thought Lite Edition :)

So the one with more heat sinks(R 2.0) should be able to dissipate heat than the other mother board (LE) right ?
