This is my first build (very green newbie). It all was working great on day one until I changed the bios.

MoBo: MSI 970A-G46
CPU: AMD fx-6350,
RAM: G.Skillz 1 stick of ddr3 8gb ram 1866.
Video Card: XFX Radeon R7 250 1Gb
SSD: Sandisk 128Gb

Everything was working great, running Ubuntu. I went into bios and switched memory to 1866. It had been running "auto" at 1333. Clicked the "x" in the bios to save setting and reset.

Something happened and nothing came back to the monitor. The power and reset buttons on the case stopped working. I restarted several times from the power supply and the same thing...No signal to monitor and no case switches working. The monitor is an Envision 17 inch.

Any ideas on how to bring this computer back to life would be amazing. I don't even know what to try now.

Thanks!

Solution
Remove the motherboard battery for 5 mins, then put it back.
Or short the clear CMOS jumper if your motherboard has one, look in your manual.
Post back results.

It's alive! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I jumped the CMOS with a screwdriver while everything was unplugged. It's back to where it was before. Screen turrned on, informed me that BIOS was reset and asked if I wanted to enter BIOS or just boot. Obviously I need to read a lot more about overclocking and RAM before I try to screw with the automatic settings again.

THANKS!
