Screen tearing until computer crashes.

Hello,
Recently I bought a new computer from Ibuypower here are the specs:
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 780 4gb
PSU: It's a corsair of 850 watts (?) I don't know how to check
Processor: Intel i7-4820k @ 3.7 GhZ
RAM: 16 gb ddr3
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4
All drivers up to date.
It has 3 high speed fans and liquid cooling so it usually stays at 25~C when idle and under 50C under heavy work.
So here's my problem, when playing high fidelity games such as Assassins Creed 4 I get screen tearing that gets worse and worse over time until either my Nvidia driver crashes and the computer crashes to desktop or my computer shuts down completely and restarts itself (The later is more common).
I have no idea what might be causing this, I took away the overclock I had and everything to see if that was what was messing with my games but to no avail. I've also had several "Experts" (Read useless IT guys) Who have just looked at the bios for a while and said that they have no idea what's wrong.
So I'm open to any suggestions you guys might have.
Thanks for reading :)

Well at least those experts didn't say buy a new GPU or even better pay us and we will do it for you ;)

Well they might be right with this BIOS.. id try all settings to auto, non single unit of the PC overclocked.
Then indeed observe GPU temps.. you said you have WC but what its put onto? not that GTX right?
It might be the PSU also but if its really 850W Corsair then faaar more then welcome with this setup.

Sorry bout that, somehow i missed that.
Is this for any specific game, or for all games?
You can try using an older drivers, I have heard of many problems the last few months stability wise with their drivers.
However, there has also been some bad 780's. This thread pretty much covers it:

You could also try underclocking your card and seeing if the stability gets better. If so, your card is faulty.

This may also help you:

So I tried disabling core parking and vsync but none of those seem to have had any effects on the crash.
Before going ahead and trying to underclock my card I would like to ask, would it be possible that it's a RAM related error? Just wondering because a faulty GPU is like worst case scenario for me :/

A small update, tried underclocking my GPU using MSI AfterBurner, reduced the memory clock by 20.
After launching a game I managed to play for about 5 minutes before my computer suddenly shut down, no screen tearing or freeze this time, just a straight up shut down. Did I do something wrong while underclocking or something?
