Ok, so i built a brand new computer yesterday, and having tested it, at the moment, i have a Geforce GT610 (1GB) graphics card, but i want to increase this to 2 GB.

So having looked at some on the internet, a few has catches my eye, though im not looking to spend a fortune, My friend said get the Ge-force GT630 2GB as this will give my graphics a boost,

This is my current Graphic Card Specs,

Graphics Engine NVIDIA GeForce GT 610
Bus Standard PCI Express 2.0
Video Memory DDR3 1GB
Engine Clock 810 MHz
Memory Clock 1.2 GHz ( 600 MHz DDR3 )
RAMDAC 400 MHz
Memory Interface 64-bit
Resolution D-Sub Max Resolution : 2048x1536
DVI Max Resolution : 2560x1600
Interface D-Sub Output : Yes x 1
DVI Output : Yes x 1
HDMI Output : Yes x 1
HDCP Support : Yes

And im looking to get a new one, but with a 2GB, a better engine clock. And properly a 128-bit.

Now you may ask my budget, well im not one of those types to want to pay £££s for a graphics card, I dont really play the lastests games, only the Lastest Simulations games, like Railworks 4, and Command and Conquer.
Im looking to spend no more then £40.

Thanks in advanced.

The GDDR5 would be on the graphics card, so yeah it can.

No its a myth that an AMD card would work better with an AMD CPU.

Hi Rob,

Can my computer take GDDR5? Heres my PC Specs.

4GB DDR3 Ram

AMD Athlon II X4 Core 4 (740) 3.2GHz Processor 4MB Cache

Gigabyte F2A55M-DS2 Motherboard (rev. 1.0) A Series/Athlon Socket FM2 AMD A55 Micro-ATX Gigabit LAN.

And am i right to say if you have a AMD processor, that a AMD Graphics card will work better? or is this a myth lol

SAPPHIRE R7 240 1GB GDDR5 WITH BOOST

The SAPPHIRE R7 240 1GB with Boost now has the latest GDDR5 memory clocked at 4600MHz effective, and runs with a core clock speed of 730 MHz which with PowerTune Dynamic Boost rises to 780 MHz on the engine.

Would this be any good? and its within my price range!
