Hello TH crew,

I have the Corsair TX850M which is 80 bronze. I also have 2x R9 280x running at 1020mhz (slight factory OC), 12GB RAM, and currently a Phenom X4 945 overclocked to 3.75ghz running at 1.45v.

No issues so far, I was thinking of upgrading the processor to a FX8350 and maybe OCing that to 4.5 GHz but I'm not sure if the 850w will suffice.

I heard somewhere that at absolute full load CF 280x draw something like 600w?! Say it ain't so!

Help appreciated, thanks.

That's great! Would it be wise overclock the 8350 to 4.7ghz and beyond?

Also double checked and the TX850M is actually v2 enthusiast series, which is made in conjuction with Seasonic. Also sporting a dedicated +12V rail with up to 70A. Man Corsair is really great nowadays.

I'm glad your grammar isn't perfect. Makes me certain you are not a bot and this is not the technological singularity :)
