I am unable to get Internet working on my laptop from last 24 hours. When I try to connect the ethernet cable from the modem to my laptop Windows 7 says "Plug an ethernet cable into the network adapter".
It keeps saying this even when the cable is connected. At first I thought that the cable is damaged so I bought a new cable but still I keep getting the same message. So I think that the ethernet port on my laptop has been damaged. What do you think?
Someone suggest that I buy a "Usb to Ethernet" adapter. Will it work??
