So I got all my parts for my pc except for my GPU. I was originally was going for a EVGA GTX 770 4GB w/ ACX Cooling Classified but I'm not sure if I should just wait a bit and save the extra money and buy a EVGA GTX 780ti 3GB. I want to play games like BF3 and 4, Arma 3, Civ 5, Titanfall. I don't have a monitor since I just but a new tv so I play in that at full 1080p. I will buy a monitor later on in the year but for now my tv will have to do. Can someone give me their input on which one I should get please and thank you.

got my 780ti classifieds in sli and overclocked and they are so beastly and im running on air. People will always diss some card for some stupid ass reason they feel is valid. Bottom line is the 780ti classified is aside from the kingpin model is one of the if not the fastest 780ti out there period and its backed by a company who hands down has THE BEST customer service available.

If theres even a remote possibility that you are going to do a custom water cooling loop, stay away from any of the classified/kingpin boards... Only one water block for them (EVGA/Swiftech HydroCopper) and they are rarely in stock.... Finding that out now for myself.. 770 Classy is a great card though... But go for at least a 780 vanilla at least...

This isn't even a contest. The 780 ti and the 770 have a full generation of GPU separating them. You're essentially comparing the performance of a Titan Black to that of a 680, and put that way, the clear winner would be the Titan Black. Also, keep in mind that the 780 ti performs in games even better than the Titan Black does. You'll get roughly the same performance from the 780 ti as you would from two 770s in SLI. I've had both setups (currently have the 780 ti), and while the 770 SLI could be faster sometimes, it wasn't by much, and having a single card is way nicer.

My current setup is also on a 1080p TV, and the 780 ti kicks ass! VRAM is not even a concern at all, and it wouldn't be even if you hooked it up to a 1440p monitor. Basically, don't focus on VRAM for these resolutions with these cards, at least not if you're only going to game (exception for three-monitor gaming). Don't computations might be different, but even then the extra horsepower from he 780 ti would likely close the gap. Having upgraded from a 770 to a 780 ti on a 1080p set, I can say you'll be more than satisfied :D

the classified is a great card, 780 or 780ti, and they will hit monster core speeds even on air. it really comes down to its design. voltage becomes a bottleneck to the core speed on these cards and to push the voltage as high as it can handle you would need a lot more cooling than air can provide. on top of that, you need a modded bios which allows for a 200% or even higher power target which allows the card to draw more power.

you don't necessarily need water cooling though… 1.3ghz is very fast in its own right and the fact the classy can do it on air is a feat in itself. but once under water, the sky is the limit.
