I have a i7-980X (BX80613i7980X), and the motherboard went to crap. Tried finding a replacement for my GA-X58A-UD3R, guess it is so old, they are no longer available.
if you don't mind spending some cash.... http://www.amazon.com/Asus-Rampage-III-CrossFireX-Motherboard/dp/B003H2AQG6 (also check ebay) ran that motherboard for my 950 rock solid overclocked to 4.8ghz and ram from 1600 to 22??mhz forget exact. and 2 580's volt modded with extreme overclocks. that board sold me on asus and the republic of gamers boards. running 4 other ROG boards now.

That's only if you want to stay with your 980x.
What is a good CPU fan for it? I noticed that heat sink there by the processor slot.
