i cant get my third monitor to work.

when i plug in my third monitor, catalyst tell me that i need to disable another monitor before using, i think this might be because i need to run the third monitor through display port, is this correct? (and yes my graphics card can run 3 monitors)

Correct, 1 monitor has to be run though the display port. If your monitor has a display port, then it can function that way. If your monitors don't have a display port, then you'll need to have an ACTIVE adapter to get a third monitor to work.
