I am going to build a computer, but I do not plan to overclock. I was told that if I am not going to overclock, then I should not get an Intel Core i5 K processor for my computer, instead get a non-K processor.

Also, if I am going to buy an Intel Core i5 non-K processor, should I get a motherboard with an H77 or H87 chipset instead of a motherboard with a Z77 or Z87 chipset? If so, then what motherboard would you recommend?

Thank you in advance!

For the current (fourth gen/Haswell), an i5-4670 is tops.

You can save money with a H87 board to pair it with, for example:
a b K Overclocking
a b à CPUs

Yep, the i5-4670 is the fastest.

Then, just get any reliable (something)87 motherboard. Substitute the (something) with any of the letters.
a b K Overclocking
a c 902 à CPUs
a c 103 å Intel

For the money, you cannot go wrong with an i5 4570 and a B85 pro4.
