Doing a new PC build for a friend. He does a lot of Photoshop work and wants a high end system with plenty of storage. In a previous build for him, I didn't include a RAID card and used Intel's on-board RAID. I feel it was lacking and he could use a real RAID card. I'm not sure if the selected card below (LSI 9266-8i SGL) is overkill or not. It needs to support RAID levels 0/5/6 and multiple RAID groups.

Thanks for any advice!

Unless he is a gamer the gaming graphics card is wasted money .
So is the power supply which is overkill even with that graphics card
