so i am thinking of getting into PC gaming and i want to get a computer with an and R9 270x and i also have an old monitor, which is a HP L1706 which i believe can only play battlefield 4 in 720p ( correct me if i am wrong)
should i go out and get a 1080 monitor and play battlefield 4 at 1080 medium to high settings or play at 720p at high to ultra settings?
would the difference between 720 and 1080 be very noticeable enough to go and buy a 1080 monitor, while playing battlefield?
thank you for the help.

The difference in screen size will be quite noticeable, the change in resolution probably less so since the small screen is going to have a relatively high pixel density. Going from a 17" screen to something like a 22" will be a large change(larger than you realize), i would take a larger screen over ultra settings.

in battlefield 4 is there a 1280x1024 resolution? And if there is what will the difference between it and 1080?
