I have just finished my first Pc build. everything seems to be working fine. i don't have a dvd drive so i decided to make a bootable usb (i purchased windows 7 home premium 64bit SP1).
when i inserted the usb drive after setting my mobo boot priority to usb, it came to the install.
i clicked install now and then it gave me an error telling me if i have a cd/dvd insert it now or something. im now wondering if i did the usb correctly.
what could be the problem and what are the steps for making a bootable usb?

Solution
If you are in a USB 2.0 port, I would check BIOS again to be sure the USB port is first in the boot order.
If you are in a USB3.0 port, the BIOS may not recognize 3.0.
