2nd monitor accidentally unplugged from tower, when reconnected it no longer displays

Pretty muich what the Title says, my second monitor got unplugged from my tower and when i reconnect it it no longer has a display, when i got into resolution settings in windows 7 and in the nvidia control panel they both register that it is there, but it doesnt display anything but a black screen

It might be that the "unplugging" damaged the pins in the cable's connector and shorted or grounded out the circuit. May have fried something in the monitor. Have you tried the monitor on the card's other port? Have you tried a new cable? Do you have another PC or some way of testing the monitor to see if it is the problem or the card?

Try clicking on identify, does it display a number? Also make sure you've extended the desktop to it.

The screen being black is probably a good thing, because it's not displaying "looking for signal".
