How to install OS with USB

I have a windows 7 64 bit OS in a .img file. I also have a 8GB USB drive. What is the best way to make the USB boot windows on my new pc? Thanks for the help!

It seems I can only download the .img file using SecureDownload Manager. Is there a workaround?

I get a free download of windows 7 for being a student and it seems the only format I can get it in is .img
