I just recently purchased a GTX 770. I am installing it in my gateway dx4850-27eu, it has a i5 2300 2.8ghz processor . It has integrated graphics, do i need to disable this before i install the gtx 770?

Not really, First you need to know if your newly bought card is working. you can install the new card right away. the integrated GPU will be disabled automatically once the board detected the installed video card. make sure you unplug all the power cables and you discharge the static current in you before touching any components inside your computer.
