Please help, my monitor has been at this lower resolution for about a month. I am running windows vista on a compaq laptop. I first noticed screen glitches i.e screen going black for half a second while trying to play videos in VLC player, this accord when I updated my video driver (videos still played fine). Soon after playing any videos of good resolution looked horrible (poor color resolution and pixelated images). So I rolled back my driver install but saw no changes so i rein-staled or updated my drivers and there is still no changes. Other problems that may be connected are #1 I cannot click on sleep mode, when I close my laptop it stays on when it used to go right to sleep mode. #2 An old game that worked fine gives me an error message 'Direct3D no suitable hardware found' and I can no longer play the game.

I have the same issue when I upgraded my video card from VGA output to DVI . When I connect to the VGA input with DVI to VGA plug I can get the 1280 x 1024 resolution. But when I'm connected with digital cable I am stuck at 1024 x 768. Windows 7 reports the monitor as non pnp with default driver. I found the Hyundai B90D monitor drivers for windows xp and installed those. The monitor is correctly identified but still will not upgrade to higher resolution modes. So the solution for digital interface is still missing but if you connect to the VGA analog connector the full resolution is available.

So the drivers available are for Windows XP, none for Windows Vista nor 7 nor 8. The system is not reporting any errors other than the max monitor resolution is 1024 x 768. When I scan for new hardware, the monitor goes blank and never returns after waiting for several minutes. Unplugging the video cable restores the monitor display.
