I am doing video editing, recording, development, gaming.

Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 750D
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero C2 Motherboard
PSU: Corsair Professional Series AX860i 860W
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K
Water Cooler CPU: Corsair Hydro Series H105
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws-X Memory Memory 16GB (1600MHz, 240-pin, 2x 8GB, CL10)
GPU: Asus AMD Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 500GB
HDD: WD Red 2TB
Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K70
Mouse: Razer Deathadder 2013

I am wondering, is there any new tech behind the corner in span of 1 month that I could wait or just get with these items?

Although this PSU would just be able to cut it , it would handle the power requirement from those R9 290's still i'd urge you to step up and take AX 1200i

There is new series of i5 and i7 coming out which are basically refresh of the older haswell.
Dont wait for them , just hop on with the build you have made.
Why worry ?
Until you have DDR4 and all the new tech until then you wont see much of change in the industry apart from gfx cards.
But when DDR4 comes , everythign else changes.

Also your build is amazing , which PSU are you taking ?
