Broken USB port (WD My Passport)

Hello!
The usb port of my WD My Passport external hdd broke. When I opened it, I saw that it was detached from the board. Is there any way to fix it? Are my files still safe? I really need help because all of my most important files are in there. Thanks!

PS: Sorry for the blurry images. I just used my itouch 4 to take pictures

If you have taken it apart then you should be able to plug it directly into your motherboard and just use it as a normal hdd. I have done this before.

they are nothing more than laptop HDD's anyway

Would it work if I use a super glue to connect the broken usb port to the board? I tried holding the usb port and the board together and it worked for a little time. Thanks!

superglue is not remmended but could possibly work. If it did not then you might be stuck

Thanks for the links! Ok maybe I'll try to use the super glue first but if it does not work then I have no choice but to buy those cables. Thanks for the help!
