Hey people,

I have been encountering a weird issue, and I have no idea how to solve it.

So what happens is first my screen will go black and stays black, then all sound will sound robotic/laggy after that in game sound will loop endlessly. Keep in mind all this time teamspeak keeps working even my microphone. I might add when I try to press things like numlock and capslock the led in the keyboard doesn't light up.

I have checked my temperatures and they seem ok. I did default my bios after I encountered another issue 2 weeks ago, could that be the cause ?

Things I tried: -Fresh windows Install,
-Different drivers,
-Uninstalling drivers,
-Updating bios.
-Purchased a new psu.
-Windows Memory Diagnostic tool ( no errors)
-Different GPU, error still occurs.

PC SPECS:

GPU: asus gtx 460 1gb

CPU: INTEL CORE I5 2500 (sandy bridge)

RAM: 2 x 4gb KINGSTON value ram ddr3 1333 pc3-10600 KVR1333D3D4R9S/4G cl9

MOTHERBOARD :asus p8h61-m

PSU : cx600m

If anyone could help me , I would greatly appreciate it .

A number of things can cause your screen to be blank.

- the computer will go into a mode to help conserve power, which can cause it to appear blank.

- Sometimes a computer will go blank due to overheating.

- low power supply or a bad monitor.

- The graphics or video card.

- It can also be caused by a corrupted Binary Operating System or the operating system itself.

check if any of the components have overheated, shut the computer off. Place your computer in a cool room or turn on a fan or air conditioning. Wait about 15 to 20 minutes and restart the computer.

If your screen still doesn’t light up after cooling it down, connect your computer to a different power outlet and reboot the computer. If you have an extra monitor lying around at home, switch it with the current one to see if your monitor is bad.

If you recently made changes to the computer’s hardware, uninstall what was just added and restore the system. If this still doesn’t get your screen to work, try restarting it in safe mode. This can be done by pressing F8 once the computer begins to boot up. Select safe mode by using the arrow keys. This will bring the computer back to the point when it was running normally, which may be a sign of a corrupt file or driver.

If your screen is blank due to an operating system that is corrupt, you can try to re-install it. Even better, upgrade your system. Sometimes an updated version will fix certain files or booting problems, which will take care of your blank screen issue.
