hey guyzz.... just wanted to know coz im buying a new zotac gtx 770 amp edition 2gb gpu. I'm a little worried bcoz the gigabyte z77 d3h motherboard seems to have some issues with gtx 770.
My system specs are :-
intel i7 3770k at 4.3 ghz maxed
gigabyte ga-z77-d3h
cooler master 650w bronze psu
gigabyte setto-ii pc case
16 gb kinston hyperx ram @ 800hz
Also tell me if it will directly work

Solution

I am unaware of any issues and it should work fine. I think with the Z77 chipset, the PCIe bus is 3.0 instead of 2.0 which really doesn't matter all that much.

hey...one more question... my case is a gigabyte setto-ii... will my case be able to fit in the zotac gtx 770 amp edition card...? Also can someone tell me the exact steps to installing a new graphics card?

This one?

Hard to say.
There isn't given on the website what length of a graphics card the case can fit, it's pretty long(482 mm or 19 inches), but as you can see in the screenshots, there is a cage that can be a problem.
If you have the motherboard already(not really needed, but to know where exactly the card will go), you can measure how much the PCI-E slot-to-cage length is, if it's atleast 11 inches you can go for the card. The card itself is 10.5 inches.

thnk u very much.... this was the most confusing thing..... Also can u say that the graphics card will fit on the side panel for support via screws or some sort of clips to hold it into place?

You see, the case has 7 expansion slots. Your 770 will take up two of them. Most probably the case comes with all screws you need(since it's Gigabyte), but if not the card should also have two screws. Just remove two of the slot covers in the back, hold the card on top of the PCI-E slot(remember to push the PCI-E slot lock down first), and push down. the card should just slide in place. Best way to check is the card aligns with the screw holes. Replace the screws and connect PCI-E power connectors. You're done.

Note:
Never touch the golden PCI-E connectors on the bottom of the card or the back of the PCB. If you must touch them, use paper towels or wear gloves.
If anything doesn't seem to fit, don't force it. You're doing something wrong. It's all designed to fit.

I'd recommend a video, but can't guarantee that guy's doing it correctly. However, you could watch one of Carey Holzman's builds on Youtube if you need to see how it's done.

my older 650 ti 2gb dosent seem to have any screws connected on the case.... but it is very well in place.... will the gtx 770 be as the same as the 650 ti from the rear portion.... will I have to screw it down or if the screw holes are not properly in place what should I do?

They should. They're designed to. If the screw holes are not aligning, check your card. It has not been seated properly.

If you don't use any screws, there is a possibility that the card will move from its place when you attach the monitor cables. Better use screws and avoid that.

Okay, you will have to remove two cover plates over the expansion slots in the rear. The screws will then be used to hold down the card once it is plugged inot the slot. As long as your aren't moving the computer around a lot, just being plugged into the PCIe slot is pretty secure, but it can owrk out causing problems.

Hard to say, I have heard that it was not Optimized for this and not optimized for that. I think it was optimized for the Consoles and that was it. From what I have been hearing, the PC version is really buggy and it doesn't appear that there is any great effort to fix them.

BF4 was originally done for the consoles and optimized for them. The PC version was almost an after thought. It is siad that it is buggy as heck ( PC version ). Probably because it has never really been optimized for the PC. Hopefully this won't be a sign of things to come with PC gaming.
