This is a fairly basic question, do the newer graphics drivers for AMD video cards that express performance improvement for 7800 series graphics cards also improve performance for 6800 series graphics cards? For example AMD Catalyst 13.1 Drivers express a performance improvement seen on the entire AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series, however does this mean that any card series bellow the specified series will see a performance gain? I currently have drivers 12.10 for my 6850, if i upgrade to 13.1 will i see an upgrade in performance for Battlefield 3, as the driver highlights have expressed performance gains regarding BF3 in relation to the 7000 series.
