I am trying to help out a friend with getting a new computer. He says he has about $600 to spend. Do you have any good builds? I have an old i5-2500k and an ASRock P67 Extreme4 gen3 that I would be willing to sell to him for cheap. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what a good price would be. I don't need to much for them. What do you think would be reasonable?

It's a little bit over budget because it has the price for the CPU listed as $250, which won't be the case if you sell it to him.

I would probably end up selling them for about $120. What could he build with the rest of the budget?

If he can afford to drop $50 extra, here's what I would recommend :

Otherwise, just drop down to a GTX 760.

Here's a slight tweak to Seladon's build:

same price DDR-1600 Ram instead of 1333, and a R9 280, brings you right under $600
