I'm saving up to build a PC because my current rig isn't the greatest.
It's gunna be my first build, so I'm totally open to suggestions and stuff.

First of all, is the Z77A-GD65 Gaming a good motherboard? It seems like it's a pretty good price if I buy it refurbished.

If it is a pretty good mobo, will it be compatible with a 4670k?
And if all that's good, what would be the best ram to get?

Thanks.

The Z77A-GD65 is a decent motherboard, however it is not compatible with the 4670K. The motherboard uses Socket LGA 1155 for processors, while the 4670K is Socket 1150. For that motherboard, you will need a Core I3, 5, or 7 in the 2000 or 3000 series.
